This change mat was a passion project for the team. After having a baby join the Tasman Eco team we realised that the change pads on the marketplace weren’t meeting what we needed. We got to it and designed one.

The idea was to create a changing station which would be portable and easy to use. Parents are changing their babies so often that this is designed to be one of the most used products in the nursery.

  • Made from a soft PU foam which is designed to be easy to wipe down
  • Rigid Polycarbonate base which is water resistant and creates a stable surface for changing
  • PU foam legs to help with grip. We avoiding any small stick on legs due to the risk of them being a choking hazard
  • Hidden handles on both sides to help move the change pad around the house. It is designed with parents in mind, it can be picked up with one hand so the other hand is free to hold baby, nappies or snacks to get you though
  • High sides to help with a wiggly baby. The bottom of the Touzy intentionally is lower to allow easy access
  • Designed with growth in mind, the length of the Touzy change mat means you will be able to use it throughout the first years

Dimensions

  • Length: 79.5cm
  • Width: 43cm (base), 48cm (top), due to the sides flaring out there are two measurements
  • Side height: 10cm, this is at the highest point. They are intentionally designed to taper down

Soft top, rigid base

Changes happen anywhere. The soft PU foam provides a comfortable and easy to clean surface. The polycarbonate base provides stability, while being waterproof and impact resistant.

 

Discreet Handles

After having our own baby we realised how common it was to change them everywhere but the designated changing area.We couldn’t have anything which would trap fingers but we needed a handle strong enough to be used with one hand so the other was free to hold baby.

A Family Design

We pulled in everyone to help here. From our baby tester, a friend who learned how to 3D design and an artist we met in Spain to design the box.
